Eucalyptus oil has shown to be an effective anti-inflammatory agent that can be used to lessen the symptoms of bronchitis and other inflammatory respiratory conditions.
It contains antimicrobial properties to protect against a variety of bacteria and viruses. Eucalyptus oil has also shown to stimulate cold receptors in the nose which has shown to give a sensation of improved nasal airflow. I love a few drops of this on a tissue to keep on my yoga mat, in the shower, or in my diffuser.
Studies have shown that inhaling peppermint oil might have a beneficial impact on reducing the symptoms of seasonal allergies. It helps to soothe the bronchial muscles because of its anti-inflammatory effect and antimicrobial properties.
